Born on the Forgeworld of Mertoch, Lucius’ Psycher powers did not truly begin to manifest themselves until his adolescence. After reading his parents mind and knowing that the Adeptus were coming for him, he took to the streets, where he developed a penchant for pick-pocketing, and being quick with his hands. Living on the streets toughened him up, and as several years passed, he began using his skills for acquiring other, more “carnal” pleasures.
That would prove to be his downfall.
After bedding a priestess, he awoke to being dragged out by the adeptus and press-ganged into psyker training. After much bargaining, broken bones, and several painful telepathic shrieking sessions, he was allowed to keep his eyes; Something that has caused some resentment among other astropaths. Regardless, the whole ordeal left him with a distinct dislike of the priesthood and of being held captive.
After completing his training, Lucius looked for anyway to get as far away from the adeptus as he could. That’s where Hyperion Belsarius Farragut came in. In need of an astropath for Fortune and Glory, Lucius readily accepted the job.
Free from the constraints of the adeptus, his mind has once again turned to making a quick buck and using his psyker abilities to give him every advantage he can. He remains Loyal to Hyperion, believing the man to be his savior from the hell that he had previously been in.
